Here we present “Success Story”, a new painting that is part of the latest collaboration with Forbes, as part of its “Forbes Art Covers”.
A painting that, along with those of other artists, will form part of a collection of covers for Forbes Spain magazine. To represent, through my vision, what the word success means to me.
Success Story: more than a simple cover.
Success Story was developed after several weeks of research, during which I wondered how I could represent the concept of success. In the end, I was able to find and thoroughly document one of Spain’s greatest wildlife recovery success stories: the recovery of the Iberian Lynx.

The Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus) is a clear example of conservation success, growing from less than 100 individuals in 2002 to more than 2,000 in 2024, with hopes of expanding into new areas of Spain. Most of its habitat is in economically disadvantaged areas, known as ’empty Spain’, where conservation projects and ‘nature tourism’ have boosted the local economy.
Listed as critically endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 1986, the lynx was on the brink of extinction at the beginning of the 21st century. However, thanks to the cooperation of public administrations and scientists, the population has increased significantly. The drastic decline in rabbit numbers and loss of habitat due to human activities such as intensive hunting and infrastructure construction contributed to its dire situation. However, its recovery shows that joint action can be successful.
“Success is the result of consistency, perseverance, constant effort and enthusiasm for a noble and meaningful cause.

Art and Success

The culmination of all this work was the presentation at the Forbes House in Madrid (Spain), where we had the opportunity, together with other artists, to share all the details of our work and, finally, to see the final result of mine as the cover of the March 2025 edition of ForbesArt.
It was a really successful event where we shared laughs, food and a few drinks with all the guests who joined us during the presentation.
