Roots

“Roots”, Miami. Mural for “Future starts now” at Wynwood Walls 2022. This mural is inspired by the Everglades, a natural region of tropical wetlands in the southern portion of the US state of Florida, comprising the southern half of a large drainage basin within the Neotropical realm. I’ve been in this National Park several times photographing the incredible wildlife found there as Alligators or my favorite bird in the area, the Roseate Spoonbill. When I was invited to paint a mural in this iconic place I didn’t hesitate in create an image from my original pictures and bring the Florida nature to the center of the city to make people think. The ecosystem it forms is not presently found anywhere else on earth and is located about two hours by car from the city center. People needs to know their roots to protect them. I’m extremely happy of the result but also to have shared this experience with incredible artists.
